Magna Powertrain´s Flex4™ all-wheel drive technology forms the technical foundation of the Audi quattro ultra system.
The system was developed jointly by Magna and Audi. The technology uses a multi-plate wet clutch with electromechanical actuation to control torque distribution between the front and rear axles and a dog-clutch to disconnect the secondary drivetrain when AWD is not required.
